Your pearls will retain a lustrous glow if worn regularly against your body’s natural oils, but you should make sure your pearls avoid coming into contact with perfumes, hairspray and other chemicals as these can damage your pearls lustre and make them go dull.

If worn on a regular basis, you should have your pearls checked every 12 months and have them rethreaded or reglued.

When storing your pearls you should wipe them over with a soft cloth and store them separately from other jewellery.
